The Ecology & Behaviour
● Omnivorous, they can feed on garbage, wallpapers, book covers and feces of
other roaches
● Highly reproductive
● Live in groups and are nocturnally active
● Like inhabiting in warm, dark, very humid and small areas. (Occasionally found
inside electrical appliances like televisions and refrigerators)
The Impact
● Roaches are a vector of bacterial infections, such as salmonella, dysentery
bacillus, poliovirus etc.
● Feces and dead bodies of roaches can become allergens that cause various kinds
of allergies
